An HVAC air filtration system is an air filter or device that removes allergens, pollutants, and other undesirable particles from air that is heated or cooled. The filtration system also helps keep dust and debris from infiltrating the inner workings of your HVAC system.
The simplest system involves an HVAC air filter, also known as a furnace filter or simply a filter. A standard 1” filter keeps out larger particles such as pollen, dust, dust mites, and lint. These filters need to be changed every 30-60 days depending on the quality of the filter.
More advanced air filtration systems are known as whole-house air purification systems. More advanced systems are 20-100 times more effective than a standard filter. Using superior technology, they can capture more particles, including things such as pet dander, bacteria, viruses, smoke, and more.
